    On March 30, 1929, at Fort Wayne, IN, the Cleveland Rosenblums beat the Fort Wayne Hoosiers by a score of 19-18. The winning basket scored with 15 seconds to play. The Rosies led at the half by a score of 11-7. One of the Hoosiers players had a game high ten points. The game was game three of the American Basketball League championships. The Rosies finished the sweep the following night. The sport of Basketball has come a very long way since. A score of 19-18 in the professional ranks today will get you most of the way through the first quarter. The Rosenblums ended up folding in December of 1930 and league itself folded at the end of the 1930-31 season. The league however was reorganized  for the 1933-34 season for a 21 year run. The league stayed on the East Coast and neither team was heard from again.

   The answer to yesterdays trivia question is on June 12, 1900 the first 9 inning no-hitter in the history of the Virginia League was pitched by future Hall of Famer Christy Matthewson of the Norfolk Phenoms over the Hampton Crabs. The final score was 1-0.
